Volunteer driven

NARA runs entirely on volunteers. There is a job here that fits your skills and your calendar.

Every part of NARA is someone’s spare evening

The National Amateur Radio Alliance is a membership organization powered entirely by volunteers. Our strength comes from the dedication of people who choose to give their time, skills and energy to support amateur radio.

Every contribution matters — whether you take on a leadership role, help organize local events, assist with national programs, or lend your expertise behind the scenes. It is also a chance to meet like-minded operators, pick up new skills and make a real difference to a community that spans the country.

What signing up means

  • You tell us what you enjoy and how much time you have.
  • A coordinator emails you to talk it through — no commitment yet.
  • You start small. Most roles are a couple of hours a month.
  • You can step back or change roles whenever life gets busy.

Where we need help

We are currently seeking volunteers and committee leaders in these areas. Pick one and the sign-up form below will have it ticked for you.

Not on the list? Tell us what you would rather do in the notes box — new committees usually start with one person offering.

Volunteer sign-up

Tick everything that interests you. Nothing is committed until you have spoken to a coordinator.

You do not have to be a member to volunteer, but joining funds the programs you would be helping to run.
