UNESCO's annual celebration of radio, marked by amateurs worldwide.
World Radio Day marks the day in 1946 that United Nations Radio first broadcast. Amateurs mark it by getting on the air, showing radio to newcomers and telling the story of the service. It is a good day for a club demonstration or a school visit.
